New Orleans meets Muscle Shoals at the trailer park in a shotgun marriage of styles on Trailer Romance, the third long-player from Anonymous Willpower. Once again, the ever-inventive Anonymous Willpower come up with quirky, infectious twists on soul, Cajun-style blues, funk, and rock that’ll get you toe-tapping if not leaping out of your chair outright and heading for the punchbowl with the kind of vigor that makes other partygoers a tad nervous but gets them on their feet nonetheless.

On Trailer Romance, the band gets even more flamboyant than ever before when it comes to blending influences, making bedfellows out of country and reggae, for example on “Cops, Girls & Guns,” or new wave and gospel on “Walking Wounded.” Get transported back to the ambience of ‘70s TV action dramas with “Bubblegum & Old Spice,” while “Crazy in the USA” looks into the future and envisions a promise land without hate and the title track delivers a kind of hillbilly elegy. Like a fine twelve-course meal, Trailer Romance packs-in a variety of vibes, each song distinct from the one before yet all coming together in a complementary whole -- and the richest listening experience the band has offered to date.

Fronted by chameleon chanteuse Suzi Willpower and anchored by keyboardist/producer Don Anonymous, Anonymous Willpower and their supporting cast of guitars, bass, drums, and horns seek nothing less than the emancipation of planet earth by the power of soul rock.
